Position: Membership Coordinator
Reporting to the CEO, you will build PEIBWA membership in a variety of sectors. You will identify needs in the business community and work to fill gaps in service by developing and coordinating workshops and delivering business advisory services to serve PEIBWA members across the Island.
These are the responsibilities of this position:
1. Manage membership applications and renewals, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
2. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing member inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
3. Grow and diversify membership through strategic community engagement
4. Identify women-owned businesses and other professional women to develop resources collaboratively
5. Help to Host networking events, including coffee chats and mixers
6. Work with Communications on member based social media content and marketing objectives.
7. Track prospective members, manage member communication, and maintain the member database and edit templates as needed.
8. Travel across the province (mileage provided) to engage with members and coordinate meetings, events, and workshops as determined with the PEIBWA team
Formal Education and Experience:
1. Experience as an entrepreneur and/or managing a business would be an asset
2. Degree in business or a relevant field of study - or equivalent work experience
3. We are seeking a candidate with strong technical proficiency, including experience with CRM systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, Canva and other relevant software tools.
4. Work in a self-directed environment, take initiative, and represent the organization professionally
5. Able to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks
6. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; strong computer skills, maintaining client records, and preparing presentations.
7. Bilingualism would be considered an asset.
Working Conditions
1. Full-time position, typically 37.5 hours per week
2. Remote office / in-office work, depending on PEIBWA’s infrastructure
3. Regular business hours, usually 9 AM to 5 PM, with occasional flex time required
4. Interaction with various individuals and businesses across PEI
5. One year contract with possibility of extension depending on funding.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $40,000.00-$54,000.00 per year
This position is funded through Skills PEI and you must be EI eligible to qualify.
