Academy of Learning PEI has received the Academy of Learning Franchisee of the Year award for Canada. Katherine McQuaid, Director of Training, and Don Josey, President, were presented with the award last week at the Academy of Learning annual convention held in Miami, Florida.
The award recognizes the franchisee that yields high graduate-completion and graduate-employment success rates, displays commitment to quality educational programming, and delivers high levels of student services. The award also acknowledges the recipient’s high standards of business and community leadership: ability to evolve as necessary to improve operations; willingness to share time, talent, and expertise with other franchisees and community partners; active involvement in the business and education community as a role model and good corporate citizen; and a genuine interest in the success of its students.
Academy of Learning has been developing and offering computer and business training across Canada since being established 1987. Since then this private career college has expanded to 74 campuses nationwide. Academy of Learning also has several international locations in Australia, India, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, and the United States.
Academy of Learning PEI opened in 1994 and offers programs in business and office administration, accounting, health care, and information technology and has over 100 short courses at three Island campuses: Slemon Park, Charlottetown, and Montague.
